Selective recycling the textile/plastic

Closed-loop recycling of textile and plastic waste is a systematic engineering approach that transforms post-consumer waste into high-value resources through physical, chemical, and biological technologies. This field addresses critical bottlenecks such as mixed-waste sorting, polymer depolymerization/re-polymerization, and impurity removal, driving the fashion and packaging industries from linear consumption toward a circular economy while resolving microplastic pollution and resource depletion.

We focus on

Catalytic Depolymerization

Melt Upcycling

Waste-derived Carbon Materials

Upcycling textile/plastic waste

The close-loop recycling of the textile waste face the cost challenge due to the higher price compared to the pristine fiber materials. Thus, the upgrading of the textile/plastic waste to produce the high economic product (graphene, carbon fiber) is a practicable route.

We focus on

Intelligent response fiber

Flash Joule Heating technology

Carbon fiber production

Cabron capture fiber

Next-Generation Sustainable Polymers & Dyes

Next-generation sustainable polymers and dyes are bio-based smart material systems designed under green chemistry principles, achieving dual breakthroughs in performance and environmental benefit. Through molecular innovation and closed-loop lifecycle design, this field aims to eliminate fossil-fuel dependency in synthetic fibers and dye toxicity, establishing new paradigms for programmable degradation, stimuli-responsiveness, and carbon-negative emissions.

We focus on

Bio-based polymers (lignin polyesters / nanocrystal-reinforced composites)

Stimuli-responsive dyes (phot- ochromic microcapsules /metal-free catalytic indigo)

Closed-loop deconstruction (e- nzyme-triggered acrylic degra-dation/pH-driven dye stripping)

Carbon-negative manufactur- ing (biocatalytic C–H activati-on)
